Hog Curious?

Innovative Farmers of Ohio and the Ohio Rural Rehabilitation Program are presenting a program on hogs covering raising, processing/curing, and selling the beasts. This program is close to the heart of Parker Bosley, the forerunner of local and sustainable eating in Cleveland, and it looks like he lined up some exciting speakers with very real experience practicing what they'll be discussing.

I don't plan on raising pigs in the forest anytime soon (that's part of what will be covered), but this seems interesting nonetheless, and will at the very least make me a better educated, albeit potentially frustrated, consumer of all things porcine. Plus, it might be a good place to get a new line on some quality pork. The seminar takes place on January 10 and is $25. If you're interested call the OSU extension at 740.397.0401.
